The Tourism Entrepreneurship Program provides tools and services to help entrepreneurs start new tourism businesses and help existing tourism entrepreneurs innovate, expand or refresh their operations.

The Tourism Division of Alberta Culture and Tourism provides business advisory services to new entrepreneurs and existing tourism operators wanting to enhance or innovate their tourism product.

Use one-on-one discussions with a Tourism Division official to get the most from your business plan.

Financial and Regulatory Path-finding Supports

We help businesses access capital and navigate regulatory approvals and permit processes for tourism business development.

Tourism Entrepreneurial Seminar

Set up with regional partners, Tourism Entrepreneurial Seminars will offer ideas and tips on starting or expanding your business. Key stakeholders will provide an overview of their services, key industry trends and innovation possibilities, which can include information on obtaining regulatory approvals, financing, business planning support services and tourism sector initiatives that support entrepreneurial activity. Following the seminars, participants will have the opportunity to network, discuss their opportunity and obtain advice or schedule further one-on-one meetings. Research and Statistics

Provincial tourism research and statistics latest reports are available to assist entrepreneurs take advantage of tourism opportunities by better understanding the tourism experiences sought by visitors and identifying potential markets for attracting more visitors to Alberta.
