Providing recreation, active living and sport programs and services to Albertans is a collaborative effort undertaken by numerous organizations. Below are some of the resources available to help Albertans become more active in their communities and achieve the Active Alberta outcomes.

Recreation & Active Living Organizations

The Ministry partners with and supports recreation and active living organizations who provide not only recreation and active living opportunities but leadership training and development, safety, public awareness and education.

Research and Analytics

Evidence-based research about active living, recreation and sport lead to effective policy development and decision making that benefits all Albertans. The Recreation and Physical Activity division coordinates and supports research and a variety of knowledge transfer and knowledge mobilization strategies
