Vitalize Provincial Voluntary Sector Conference
Thank you to everyone for your support of the Vitalize Provincial Voluntary Sector Conference over the years. The Government of Alberta is currently examining the
sector’s training climate to determine how we as government can best assist in training needs. As a result, Vitalize 2016 is postponed.
We will stay in touch as we continue through the process and keep you informed on future decisions. We thank you for your patience and look forward to the
opportunities in the future.

- Why is Vitalize being postponed?
There are a number of factors involved in the decision to postpone Vitalize 2016.
The sector has seen an increase in a variety of training opportunities through new and emerging technologies, colleges, universities and nonprofit/voluntary
sector organizations. As large supporters of the sector, we as government are taking steps to ensure the training being delivered is best suited for the needs
of the sector.
Further to this, the current economic climate provided an opportunity for the government to use its due diligence in evaluating the effectiveness of Vitalize
and determining how we can best assist the sector.
- Will the government provide other training opportunities to replace Vitalize?
No decisions have been made yet. We are currently looking at a number of options to determine how government can best address the sector’s training needs.
- What are the next steps?
We will have a better idea on next steps later this fall, after we assess the findings and identify ideas for moving forward. We will keep stakeholders
informed on next steps.
